Proposal and engagement announcements

Proposal and engagement announcements can be discreet or a hint to the expected couple's wedding day. The one who's doing the proposing may incorporate certain details that their loved one likes to ensure the special day is just that, special. It starts off from the location of the proposal, to the type of proposal, to who is actually at the proposal and so on. And we can go on and on about how grand some turn out and how simple others are.

Let's start off with location. If someone was planning to do a destination wedding perhaps, finding a location locally that provides the style or type of food one may experience at this future wedding is a unique yet discreet way of allowing your potential party guests to have a small experience of what is yet to come. If you're planning to have a wedding in Mexico for example, then having your proposal or engagement at a Mexican restaurant or a location with Mexican style vibes would give your guests an exciting experience to look forward to. They wouldn't be experiencing the beautiful weather and the ocean views, but you can bet they will experience the love in the air and the tasty food in their bellies until the destination to the real Mexico is to come.

Another intimate and secretive choice a bride makes when arranging her wedding details is her bouquet style. Now, for those who assume bouquets are only meant for the wedding day, you are wrong. A new and creative accent to your proposal or engagement photos is to actually have a bouquet made to showcase a sneak of what you will look like walking down the aisle with that beautifully manicured bouquet of flowers in your hands. Not to mention, if the groom really does pay close attention to his bride's likes and dislikes, then getting the flowers your bride expresses liking too would be a heartfelt gesture and a small little detail your audience will look forward to seeing on the big day.

Some couples also elope and doing a private proposal could indicate that simplicity is what the couple appreciate the most. Not having such a grand party to prove their love for each other would result in the couple eloping and spending much time one on one. That is not to say they do not want guests or their families around, but they would appreciate the love and excitement from a distance. Some people are shy and close off when an audience is present, so making this special moment private and intimate would give the couple a truly precious once in a lifetime moment to experience together without distractions.

If there is a hobby or sport your significant other likes or you both enjoy doing together, then incorporating a fun filled day to end it off with a proposal could be the ultimate experience. I find it so cool when couples go skydiving and the proposer is waiting at the bottom to pop the question while you're still trying to catch your breath from dropping from miles high haha!

In any case, whatever you decide to do, it's always best to have a photographer be there to capture these intimate moments between the couple. Whether you have a grand proposal with hundreds of people or a simple one with just the two of you, having a photographer to capture these moments is timeless. Not to mention, you will then give your photographer an intimate moment to be able to get a sense of your photographic style and poses so that they may be replicated on your big day!
