Proposal Ideas That Will Have You Fall In Love All Over Again

Proposals can be stressful and demanding. You have to compile a list of things you want to do, find the means and people to do them for you, and hope that the weather and environment do not ruin the overall plan. It doesn't always have to require a ton of money or be extravagant, sometimes simplicity works too. Being unique and different or keeping it classic and traditional is always an option. It truly falls on how you both are as a couple.

The most typical cliche proposal to be expected is when a man proposes to a woman. But when the tables have turned and a woman takes charge, sometimes it can be hilarious and appreciated or sentimental and vulnerable. No one ever thinks if the man wants to be proposed to rather than the woman because we are so accustomed to the traditions of kneeling on one knee and pouring your heart out to the woman of your dreams. As surprising as it may sound, a survey was conducted on over 3,000 men and about 60% of the men showed excitement at the idea of being proposed to. That percentage says far too much to not make the effort to kick start the chain on a new proposal and traditions. I just want to emphasize that there is nothing wrong with a woman showing her love to her man by wanting to make that move and propose. I find it kinda cute!

A new and fun filled way to propose is by a special dance, including just yourself or with friends and family. This is also known as a flash mob proposal. You can incorporate parts in this dance that have subliminal meaning to you both that others just wouldn't understand but you two. This will provide a cute and heartwarming aspect to the proposal that will show your significant other that you truly do pay attention to the relationship and all it has to offer. Choosing songs that you both dedicated to each other throughout the entire relationship is another form of uniqueness to the proposal.

Picking out the location where you once shared your first kiss or perhaps a place where you had your first date that you experienced your first “ sparks are flying” moment could be a sentimental and memorable choice. Or you can go all out and go to a place you both always talked about visiting. You can spontaneously pop the question in Greece overlooking the ocean, or up in the air skydiving in the Maldives, or on top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai , or even in the middle of the desert while your riding a camel and overlooking the Egyptian pyramids. and pray that the answer is a big YES!

If you're anything like me, then you'll appreciate the dramatics I am about to put on you. I always dreamt of having those Pretty Women, Sixteen Candles, and any of those old school love story movie moments be a part of my proposal. When the guy is standing outside your window with a stereo blasting “ your song”. Or climbing up to your window and pouring all his love out to you with words and kisses. I know, I know, I am getting a little over the top. I also would have loved to see my husband at the time do something he is not typically comfortable doing, such as dancing LOL! Doing something different, out of our comfort zone, or something you wouldn't typically choose to do is thrilling and shows that it was more thought out than just doing the typical.

Perhaps the person who chooses to propose has a talent, such as singing, song writing, or other artistic abilities. Writing a proposal song or making something artistic that showcases your relationship and love for each other is a very intimate and heartwarming idea. Sometimes, proposals don't have to be rich in funds to be meaningful or purposeful. It is more romantic to show your love in a personal manner and show the time and effort you personally put into making this proposal more heartfelt.

I think it is by far necessary to have someone capture that intimate moment between the newly engaged couple as those memories and experiences only happen once for some people. So to have that moment be photographed or filmed for memory keepsake is a treasure. As always, choosing the right photographer and videographer is key to capturing that moment.

Being that I am a sucker for proposals, I have provided links to a few of my favorite ones that you can use as reference if you're planning to propose soon.
