Picking the right location to capture your wedding photos makes all the difference. Your surroundings will aid in allowing you to capture the best shot to showcase your everlasting love. By communicating with your photographer on your ideas of where and how you want your photos to look will ensure that the proper destination is chosen to make your photos stand out! With that being said, here are my top 5 favorite places to photograph during the fall season.
- Brooklyn Bridge Park- Waterfront views with the New York skyline as your backdrop. Anyone who can appreciate modern architecture with a cozy foliage feel, this is your go to location. Not to mention, the beautiful stone streets in neighboring areas that can accentuate your shots. Even when things seem slow paced, everything else keeps moving around you. The city skylights and the reflection of the water will have your shots POP!
- Ringwood Botanical Garden- Talk about fall leaves and cozy breeze, this is your spot to be. This beautiful 96 acres of land will be a playground for many shots to be taken. You have a gorgeous mansion overlooking everything. You will be surprised at just about how versatile photos you'll be able to achieve by shooting in this location.
- Farms- Sounds so... country, but that’s not always a bad thing! Tis the season for apples, pumpkins and falling leaves. If you appreciate the season and what its natural beauty has to offer, then try out a farm! You’d be spooked at how much your photos can make a statement when you have the holidays seasonal décor as your background. Imagine yourself as Cinderella in her great big pumpkin carriage.
- The Cross Estate Gardens- Shout out to all my history lovers! If you appreciate vintage and historical elegance; this is the secret gem. Walking through this beautifully landscaped mansion encased by delicate florals and greenery will make you feel like you're going back in time to the 20th century. This well-preserved estate holds a carriage house, a five- story stone tower, and a gate house. Talk about making a statement and being a part of a historical moment!
- Wherever your heart desires- Sometimes going somewhere is not what a client wishes to do. Perhaps the coziness of your home, a local park, or even historical landmarks, can provide just the right vibe to capture the type of photos you want. Anyplace that provides outdoor scenery can be utilized to capture a “always and forever” shot.
